Hello, thank you for having a look at my website.
My name is Gary Bonar and I currently live in Glasgow. Most of my work is in the central belt of Scotland, however I will travel anywhere within reason so don't hesitate to drop me a line to check my availability.
My style is a mixture of traditional and reportage, I document the day as it happens, trying not to alter the proceedings too much. I believe that candid shots are must for everyone's wedding album and I like to believe that I achieve this in such a way that no one will ever remember having that great shot taken. Most people get a little tense when they have a camera pointed in their direction so I go to great lengths not to encroach in guest's faces. I'd much rather blend into the background and get natural, spontaneous photos.
Traditional posed photographs are also an important part of the album and it gives the bride and groom the chance to have their input into who they want photographed and with whom on the day.
At the end of the day if I see the bride cry whilst she looks at her photos than I know I have done a great job.
As you may see from my website I also do portraits. A great deal of my portrait clients have been guests at weddings where I have been the photographer. This is a huge compliment as it not only means that people like the finished product but that they enjoy the service I provide on the day. Being able to photograph one of the most important days in your life is an honour.
